The Senses and Aesthetics
Sensory Aesthetics
The Ugly Aesthete
Some aesthetes have earned a reputation for being obsessed with beauty in lieu of the more important things in life. As with
any extremist behavior, non-balanced aesthetes have created a perception of narcissism, vanity and selfishness.
Aesthetics
can have a deeper purpose and be of value to everyone. Balance and moderation is important for all, including the aesthete. Showing
appreciation and gratitude for the world around us by sharing our stories and experiences can help even the more gnarly naysayers
open their minds to aesthetics.
